Terms

These Terms explain how the Znaide App works and the responsibilities of people who use it.

Effective date and agreement

These Terms take effect on 5 October 2026. By creating a Znaide App account or continuing to use the authenticated App after 5 October 2026, you agree to these Terms. Merely browsing the public Znaide Website does not mean you agree to the App Terms.

Znaide and its operator

Znaide is operated by P12 LTD, company number 16281905, registered in England and Wales. Registered office: Silverstream House, Fitzroy Street, Fitzrovia, London, United Kingdom, W1T 6EB. Znaide helps people who already trust one another keep a private inventory and find items that members choose to share with their Circles. It provides software for organising information and recording a loan after an item changes hands. Neither Znaide nor P12 LTD owns, lends or borrows members' items. Znaide is not a public marketplace or rental service and does not process payments.

Accounts and family use

An App account uses a phone number verified with a one-time code. During setup, you add a display name, choose a language and enable a supported way for eligible members to contact you about a shared item. Keep your signed-in device and phone secure. Signing out is available; routine sign-out is not required for ordinary use. You must have the legal capacity required by applicable law to agree to these Terms, or obtain any parent or guardian permission required by that law. An adult may use their own account to organise items used by their household.

Circles and item visibility

Circles are private groups. An item owner chooses which Circles can see each published item and may share it with more than one Circle. Drafts, archived items and items not shared with a viewer's Circle are not in that Circle's catalogue. Circle Owner and Admin roles govern Circle administration, not another member's items or borrowing records. The item owner controls item details, visibility, lending preference and records of physical handovers. Treat invitation links with care: a valid link can show limited Circle information before someone joins, and accepting it makes that person a Member, not a manager of other people's items.

Items, photos and information you add

Add only items you own or have the right to describe and share. Check item descriptions and photos for accuracy and avoid unnecessary information about other people, including children. Do not use Znaide for unlawful, stolen or unsafe-to-share items, harassment, fraud or other conduct prohibited by the Community Guidelines. You remain responsible for the content you enter and the real-world item it describes. Changing the interface language does not translate your own item text.

Borrowing is arranged between people

An eligible member can choose an enabled contact method, enter proposed dates and a note, and open a prepared message in an external app. Znaide does not create a formal borrow request, reserve dates, approve a loan or send the message itself. The people involved decide whether and how to lend, hand over and return an item. Only the item owner records a physical handover as Borrowed and later marks it Returned. Available, Ask first and Unavailable are lending preferences; Borrowed is a separate physical state. Znaide does not inspect or insure items, verify their condition or safety, guarantee their suitability or return, or mediate lending disputes in the current service. This description does not take away rights you have under applicable law.

Optional AI assistance

You can add an item manually. If you choose AI-assisted recognition for one item or through Batch Add, Znaide may send a processed copy of its photo and recognition instructions to the OpenAI API. Requests may be retried automatically after certain temporary failures. Suggestions can be inaccurate; review and correct the details before publishing. AI does not decide your lending preference or Circle visibility. A photo can contain information about other people, so consider what it shows before requesting recognition.

Service availability and external communication

Network, device and provider problems can interrupt access, uploads, AI recognition or an external contact action. The App is designed to keep a session until normal expiry or sign-out, subject to authentication and browser behaviour; uninterrupted or offline access to private data is not promised. When you choose WhatsApp, Telegram, SMS or a phone call, that communication takes place outside Znaide and may be handled by the selected service and recipient.

Archiving, deletion and borrowing history

Archiving an item is reversible and separate from permanent deletion. The owner can permanently delete an eligible draft, published or archived item after confirmation, but not while it has an active borrowing. Deletion removes that item's completed borrowing history and starts private-photo Storage cleanup, which may require a retry. Account deletion is a separate confirmed action. Active lent-out items and active borrowings linked to your account must first be resolved. If you own a Circle with other members, you may need to transfer ownership to an active member. When account deletion completes successfully, Znaide removes your profile, owned items and their private photos, memberships and authentication account. Other people's items and accounts are not deleted. A completed borrowing record in another owner's private history may retain your name after the link to your account is removed. Messages already delivered to Telegram through Contact, external conversations, provider records, operational logs and backups are separate from live account data. If deletion only partly completes, support follow-up may be needed.

Lawful use and concerns

Use Znaide and its contact options lawfully and respectfully. Do not use another person's account or pass a Circle invitation to someone it was not intended for. The service's technical permissions do not decide legal ownership of an item or the outcome of a private lending arrangement. For questions or concerns, use the Contact page on this Website.
